The Fairytale Retold
The assignment: Write a retelling of a common fairy or folk tale.
Length: At least 500 words
Due date: Oct. 9
What I will be looking for:
  • Clean, clear writing.
  • A story which is both clearly a retelling of a common story, and which changes the story in at least one important way.

It can by typed or neatly handwritten, but you must hand in a paper copy in class. I will give you notes on your writing style and your ideas, and also a letter grade with comments on how to improve in the future.
